WASHYARG

The Washington State Young Adult Review Group (WASHYARG) is a regional organization of school and public librarians and other individuals interested in reviewing books, magazines and other media appropriate for teenagers. The organization also sponsored the Evergreen Teen Book Award and members of the committee are part of WASHYARG.

 

About WASHYARG

nature-731259_1920WASHYARG receives materials from over 140 publishers for members to read and review. Selected items are presented orally at the quarterly meetings and all reviews are compiled and published in the WashRag. This publication is mailed to members and has recently also been published online.  Members pay $25 per school year for the right to review the books and to receive the WashRag.

Meetings are held at the King County Library System’s Service Center, 960 Newport Way NW, Issaquah from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Evergreen Teen Book Award Committee meets immediately after.
